Grown from seed at Kaede Bonsai-en, these trees are well established in 2 1/4" containers. We get our seed from Japan and see smaller foliage which is ideal for bonsai. Not all trident maple foliage is created equal so it’s important to use good quality trident maple foliage to make great future bonsai.

Climate: Hardy in Zones 5-9, the trident maple has a much wider range of tolerable climates than the Japanese maple.

Notes: This is a deciduous tree and therefore will not have foliage during the winter.
